when SL gets complex
The new year has only just begun and already there seems to be alot of drama in SL,
There has been a shock breakup of one of my best girlfriends with her longtime partner inworld, and thats resulted in alot of bitterness and negativity between them.
Its not nice to see, especially knowing how close they were before. If I'm being honest, I would have never seen this coming, I won't divulge the circumstances or reasons on here or the background, but its a big shock seeing such a change of feeling and emotion between two people who were once so unbelievably close.
I've learnt my lesson in the past about trying to help out and keep the peace, so all I can do is be there for both of them and be part of the 'normality' within their lives inworld.
In a way it made me realise how blessed I am that me and my ex partner Gav, ended things 'amicably' and on good terms, as in there will always be love between us, we will always care and always be there for each other.
We did not have all this bitterness and regretful words I am seeing now..
I realise circumstances are different for every individual, and I try my best to never judge anyone, I guess in the end all you want for your friends are for them to be happy, whether that is in RL or SL.
I don't believe anything can benefit from negative words and judging, SL should not be about that, hell RL should not even be like that, but RL is not an ideal world at times.
At times like these it really makes you think about how involved and 'real' SL can get,
whatever people may think of avatars, pixels, unreal emotions - there is a person behind every avatar, real emotions, real friendships and bonds made. I adore my inworld friends, and alot of them have trangressed into RL in some ways, our contact is daily, and I do feel lucky to have met them.

No Pain, No Gain
After my last session at my normal inworld gym, blogged here,
I decided to work out somewhere else seeing as I did not want a repeat performance of that massage!
This gym was sooo great, more equipment, lounge rooms, a jacuzzi, lovely people, and the guys and girls there are really hardcore about training.
I got chatting to a few of them and they are so friendly its unbelievable.
Definately going back!

Monday Rush
After a full on crazy weekend with my cousins in RL
I could not wake up this morning on time for work, which is so unlike me,
I mean, okay, i snooze my alarm more than a few times, but never actually woken up at the time I should be in the office.
Cue mad rush.

The simple things
The downside of SL is that once you have a good group of friends,
the time differences are all over the place & can really cross over!
I love the rare times when we can all be on at the same time but that only ever happens every so often.
As alot of my friends know, being an explorer, and a 'wanderer', I do love the times to myself most of the time! and always manage to stumble across beautiful sims, and meet amazing people
- But sometimes, being on your own, just being yourself, is the best place to be.

52 Weeks of Colour Challenge - Champagne
I watched with alot of interest during last years 52 weeks of colour challenge that Luna set up, and vowed I would start from the beginning in the new year. I'm stupidly so excited to try each colour that's set in the coming weeks!

Ice Queen
I was in a beautiful wintry sim this morning, where everything just looked so serene, pure and bright
- I donned one of my white faux fur jackets, slipped on my shades and posed my ass off .
It reminded me of what my old friends used to call the 'Ice Queens' - these were the beautiful stunning avatars who never used to help us out in our noob days.
Picture a naive dumbass little girl all those years ago,
who did not know how to unpack an outfit, use a poseball or even sit!
Back in those days, I recall seeing these amazing beautiful avatars and walking around in wonder,
a few times I plucked up the courage to ask one of these stunning avatars where she bought their hair from,
they would take one look at our newbie forms, no AO, awful outfits and completed ignored us.
My fellow noob friends told me they're just ice queens bishes & we'd work things out ourselves,
- I would have taken out the 'Ice Queen' and just called them Bishes ;)
